I work as a book and fiber artist, sometimes combining the two. I received my MFA with a specialty in Book Arts from the University of Alabama where I learned all the traditional techniques for creating books. These include letterpress printing, hand papermaking, fine binding and paper decoration techniques (watercolor marbling, suminagashi and pastepapers. I make my books from beginning to end incorporating the skills that I have been practicing for many years, from the handmade textblock paper to the decorated content and covers to the quality of using traditional binding techniques that no one else is doing. I am interested in working with color, texture and design and am complimented on the quality and design of my books. My papers and books stand out because they are so different. My having control over all the aspects lends a strong personal touch to my work.

I was stressing, so I began making pottery. I am self-taught; I found my voice before I found labels. Intuitive iterations of Kurinuki—hollowing and carving clay without a wheel, slabs, coils, or pinching—are used for almost all vessels. All clay is local, I mix my own glazes, and pieces are food-safe unless noted. This intimate attention creates objects imbued with texture and feeling, with process embodied in product. Each piece is unique. Engaging & tactile, functional & artistic, Imperfect Tense Pottery loves being handled with thoughtful intent.

Everything I sell is handmade by me with a little help from electric tools. Every piece is unique, nothing is mass produced.

Blending dried fruit, spices and botanical oils, these combinations elevate any cocktail by infusing your booze to amplify flavor – and fun. Kits are sold in vacuum-sealed glass jars. The user adds alcohol after purchase. Just add spirits and steep 3 for days (or cheat with the microwave). Strain, add mixers and enjoy. Each jar makes 8 cocktails and you can re-use the kit for a total of 16 cocktails for $25 retail. Each kit recommends which booze to use. And the back label has a QR code to a recipes page. There are 4-6 recipes per kit, so you cannot make a bad cocktail at home!
