Terms of Service
NC Folk Festival Guide app · Effective August 11, 2026
These terms govern your use of the NC Folk Festival Guide mobile app, operated by Gate City Software, LLC for the North Carolina Folk Festival. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
What the app is
The app is a free guide to the festival. It provides:
- the schedule, artist profiles and stage information;
- food, bar, marketplace and downtown business listings;
- an interactive festival map;
- favorites, saved on your device, and a personal lineup you can publish as a shareable link;
- optional festival notifications.
No account needed
There is no registration, no password and no age restriction, because the app requires no personal information to use. See the Privacy Policy for what it does and does not collect.
Acceptable use
You may use the app to plan your festival and to share festival information with others.
You may not:
- use it for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or to the servers behind it;
- interfere with, disrupt or overload the service;
- scrape, republish or resell its content without permission.
Accuracy of festival information
We work to keep the schedule, artists, vendors and map accurate, but festival information can change without notice — sets move, acts cancel, weather intervenes. The app is provided for convenience and is not a guarantee that any performance or vendor will appear as listed. Always treat announcements at the festival itself as authoritative.
Intellectual property
The app, its design and its content are protected by copyright and trademark law and remain the property of Gate City Software, LLC, the North Carolina Folk Festival and their respective licensors. Artist images, biographies and recordings belong to the artists and their rights holders. You may not modify, reproduce or redistribute them without permission.
Third-party services and links
The app links out to artist pages, vendor sites, mapping and directions services and the festival’s own website. Those are operated by other people under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content.
Availability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. It depends on your device, your network and services we do not control, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to the app and to these terms
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes are published on this page with a new effective date; continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.
