Your favorites and your diagnostics choice are stored in the app’s own local storage. We cannot read them, they are not backed up to us, and deleting the app deletes them.

The app also generates a random device identifier and keeps it in that same local storage. It is not derived from your phone or from anything about you, and it is not an advertising identifier. It stays on the device except in the two cases named below — registering for notifications, and creating a shared lineup — where it is sent to the festival’s own server and nowhere else. Deleting the app discards it; reinstalling generates a new one.

Crash and error reports

When something goes wrong, the app sends a technical error report to Sentry, our error-tracking provider. A report contains the error and the code path that produced it, your device model, your operating system version and the app version. It does not contain your name, your email, your location or your favorites.

This is on by default and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Error reporting. With it off, the app discards these reports rather than sending them. There is no session recording or screen replay of any kind.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, the app registers an anonymous delivery token issued by Expo with the festival’s own server, together with your platform (iOS or Android), the app version and the random device identifier described above. The identifier is carried so the server can rate-limit registrations per device rather than per network address — a festival crowd shares a handful of addresses — and it is stored next to the token. Together they identify a device, not a person, and cannot be used to look you up. Records that have not been active for 90 days are deleted automatically, identifier included. Turning notifications off in your device settings stops delivery.

Shared lineups

When you share a lineup, the app stores the list of artists you picked and the name you gave it, and returns a short code so anyone with the link can view it. Treat a lineup link as public. Your device identifier is sent with the request purely so the server can rate-limit abuse; it is not stored on the lineup.

The app asks for your location only while you are using it, and only to draw your position on the festival map. That position is used on your device to render the map. It is never sent to us and never stored. Declining is fine — the map works, it simply will not show a “you are here” dot. There is no background location and no location history.

Map imagery comes from Apple Maps on iPhone and iPad and from Google Maps on Android. Whichever your device uses, that provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the tiles it serves.

• No accounts, passwords, or sign-in of any kind.
• No product analytics. There is no analytics SDK in the app. It does not record which screens you visit or which features you use.
• No advertising and no tracking. The app contains no ad networks and does not use the iOS advertising identifier, which is why it never shows a tracking prompt. It does not follow you across other apps or websites.
• No access to your photos, contacts, microphone, camera or calendar.
• No collection of health, biometric or payment data.
• We do not sell, rent or trade any of this. Ever.

• Sentry — error reporting, only while you leave it enabled.
• Expo — push-notification delivery, only if you enable notifications.
• Apple Maps (iPhone and iPad) and Google Maps (Android) — map rendering.
• Amazon Web Services — hosting for the festival’s own server, in the United States.

The festival is a family event and the app is suitable for all ages. Because it has no accounts and collects no personal information by default, it does not knowingly collect anything from a child.

• Turn error reporting off in Settings.
• Turn notifications off in your device’s system settings.
• Decline the location prompt, or revoke it later in system settings.
• Delete the app. That removes everything held on the device, the device identifier included. To have a shared lineup, or a push registration, removed from the server before it expires on its own, write to us.

If we change what the app collects, this page changes in the same release. The effective date at the top is how you can tell.
