OXENTE

Feel the heartbeat of Bahia with Oxente, North Carolina's premier Afro-Brazilian samba-reggae ensemble. More than a performance group, Oxente is a nonprofit community dedicated to sharing the vibrant rhythms, dance, and traditions of Afro-Brazilian culture while building connections through music.

Founded by Brazilian musician and educator Caique Vidal, Oxente brings the powerful sounds of Salvador, Bahia to audiences across North Carolina with high-energy performances that celebrate culture, creativity, and community. Every beat reflects the spirit of inclusion, welcoming people of all backgrounds, ages, and experience levels to discover the joy and power of making music together.

Whether performing on stage, leading community events, or inspiring audiences to dance in the streets, Oxente believes rhythm is a catalyst for connection and positive change. If the music moves you, don't just watch, join the movement.
